The college’s student council is represented by Students’ Association

The pinnacle of student leadership, the Students’ Association, is helmed by a distinguished staff member chosen by the esteemed Staff Council to direct as President every year on a rotational basis. This visionary individual orchestrates year-long endeavours through regular meetings with student representatives, fostering a vibrant collegiate atmosphere.
  2. Embarking on a journey of leadership, a student, typically from the final year, ascends to the role of Vice President after meticulous evaluation by the Staff Council. Recognizing their unwavering dedication to college activities, spanning from cultural Programmes to personal development programs, this selection process also values academic excellence, interpersonal dynamics and exemplary conduct.
  3. A tapestry of talent unfolds as the General Secretary, Joint Secretary, Cultural Secretary, Literary Secretary and Sports Secretary emerge through spirited elections heralding the academic year’s dawn. Every student becomes a voter, empowering them to elect stewards of creativity, athleticism and organizational prowess, ensuring a vibrant representation of diverse interests.
  4. Handpicked by the Staff Council amidst the electoral fervour, the Joint Secretary bridges gaps by championing voices from underrepresented academic realms. Through this symbiotic alliance, the Association thrives on inclusivity, embracing the aspirations of students from every academic discipline.
  5. In each classroom, a dynamic duo emerges as Class Representatives, entrusted with the mantle of Association office bearers. As catalysts for cohesion, they seamlessly integrate classroom visions with collegiate aspirations, serving as vital conduits for student engagement and empowerment.
  6. Intersecting academia with governance, the Vice President of the Students’ Association assumes a pivotal role within the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). Their presence as a student liaison ensures that the heartbeat of collegiate life resonates within the corridors of decision-making, championing student-centric initiatives and fostering institutional excellence.

The students’ Association is expected to perform following functions:

  1. Facilitating cultural and athletic events for student engagement.
  2. Advocating for student concerns to the college principal.
  3. Enforcing campus discipline standards.
  4. Preserving the cleanliness and environmental sustainability of the college campus.
  5. Engaging in community outreach and extension initiatives.
